Simple ways to keep your car clean longer

  1. Lock it up and don’t drive it!

Generally, you know that this will never happen unless you have a show car, vintage car, or a weekender. Some of our clients do just that, it’s going to rain so the car is staying home. We all know how dirty a car becomes when driving in inclement weather.

  1. Cheat, visually.

The quickest thing to do, provided your car doesn’t look too dirty, is to put on a nice fresh layer of tyre shine on and even giving the rim faces a quick wipe. It’s amazing what quick 5 minutes wheel clean can do to a cars appearance.

  1. Be selective on where you park.

Many of us think, especially during summer, to park in the shade, under that tree. Sounds practical, but giving it some thought and analysis, what can damage my cars paint? There are several corrosive and damaging elements that come from trees directly and indirectly. Firstly, you have tree sap, hard and sticky mess that is hard to remove. Secondly, you have the indirect; bird and bat droppings, which are highly corrosive and can cause serious and sometimes permanent damage to your cars paint. Think before you park!

  1. Shake out your mats.

The first place the interior of the car gets dirty looking is the floor. Getting in and out of the car, dragging in foreign material from outside all over the floor, or even just blowing in from the wind starts to accumulate. By simply removing the mats and giving them a quick shake out will freshen up your interior.

  1. Remove rubbish.

Simply, when something goes in, that something comes back out. By just picking up your rubbish as you leave the car each time, there’s no build-up and it looks much more presentable.

  1. Waxes

Waxes provide a protective layer and also add depth and gloss to your paint finish. Some waxes have some hydrophobic qualities, which help keep it clean. On the other hand, waxes are soft in nature and soften in the heat allowing foreign materials and contaminants to become imbedded in the surface, increasing the risk of paint marring and swirls.

  1. Ceramic Paint Protection

Is ceramic paint protection worth it? There is no comparison when it comes to high-quality ceramic paint protection being applied to your car. There are many benefits that include, immense gloss, super slick, high chemical resistance, resistant to bird/bad dropping stains and damage, non-stick surface to stop tree sap/road grim/tar from adhering, UV protection, etc. It’s by far the best way to keep your car in pristine condition, keeping it cleaner for longer and cleaner in between washes. Our ultra high performance ceramic coatings are extremely durable, super hydrophobic, and ISO 15184 certified. Unlike waxes, our ceramic coating is super hard, will not allow contaminants to imbed themselves in the surface, and the hydrophobic qualities assists water in encapsulating dirt from the paint and allowing it to simply roll off displaying self-cleaning properties.
